Is it just me or has the class in the NFL taken a major turn for the worst? It seems like every week there is something else that happens that makes you want to say “Is that how you were raised?!”. I don’t get it because it’s not just the 20 year olds with football “degrees” that are acting this way, it’s grown-@$$-men! Well that’s what they are claiming to be… I think they are 2 year olds who don’t know how to use their words and throw temper-tantrums when they don’t get their way. What happened to scoring a touchdown and high-fiving the guys that helped you get into the end zone? Are we all too cool for high-five’s and a pat on at the helmet?

Grown up Stevie Johnson… yeah Plaxico is a moron but you don’t have to be a moron too. You made yourself look even worse because you dropped two balls that could have won the game! I’d say grown up #85 but he doesn’t know what the end zone even looks like this year, hahaha. Grown up Suh, you were really going to try to convince the entire football nation that you were falling?! You clearly lifted your foot and slammed it down TWICE!!! I mean come on! When I saw that happen I said he’s going to be like “I’m sorry for my actions, I got caught up in the moment, it was inexcusable and I apologize to everyone” my mouth pretty much fell to the floor when I heard he say that he was trying to get up and almost fell… ummm what?! Oh and he brought God into it! “God knows what I did..” Yes Ndamukong Suh, God does know that you pushed the Green Bay guy’s head into the ground several times and then preceded to stomp on him! Wow.. class, class, class!

And then there are the coaches… the HEAD COACHES! This makes me sick but most of them are new NFL coaches… such as Jim Harbaugh, he is a total punk. That is the only way I can describe him, bringing his sleazy ways from college into the NFL. He needs a few hundred classes on what it is to have class. It’s absolutely sickening. His own brother wasn’t even surprised when reporters told him that his brother had been in an altercation with Lions head coach Jim Schwartz. John Harbaugh gave a face like “yup, sounds about right”. And as much as a like Jim Schwartz class flew out the window for a moment there when he chased down Jim Harbaugh after another punk move by Harbaugh. Then there is the Chief head coach, Todd Haley, he looks like he hasn’t taken a shower since he left Arizona for the Kansas City head coaching job in 2009, he wears sweats during the games and a hat that you may have to wear a hazmat suit to go near. Haley was in an altercation with another class-act Josh McDaniels when McDaniels was the head coach of the Denver Broncos, last November. Haley refused to shake McDaniels hand after a 49-29 loss in which McDaniels did not pull any of his starters when he was up 35-0 in the second quarter. But with all of these classless children there is the leader of the embarrassment… Rex Ryan. He is foul with not even an inch of class in his very enormous body. What makes it worse is I have known Rex Ryan and his behavior now is completely different from the Rex Ryan that was with the Baltimore Ravens. He has played into the New York media spotlight and has become a total embarrassment. The NFL should be embarrassed that this is someone who represents an organization. Not that he doesn’t fit in perfectly with their fan base, the lack of class in that stadium is amazing. He was just fined $75k for cursing at an obnoxious fan during a game. Last year he was fined $50,000 by the Jets for making an obscene gesture at a fan at a mixed martial arts event during Super Bowl week in Miami. He said then “I know that to coach in the National Football League is an honor, I don’t want to be the guy to put a black eye on this or whatever. I just want to get it behind me and move forward.” Actions speak louder that words, Rex. You have children that are old enough to know exactly who their dad is, what do they think of you?! I know that I wouldn’t be very proud/embarrassed of my dad if this was his behavior. Rex apologizes for things and then a few weeks later does something else… when is enough enough? This is your leader, New York Jets? If your leader gets to behave this way then your players will as well. And that goes for all the other teams with head coaches that behave this way.

The NFL needs to get a handle on this behavior because it’s only going to get worse. I basically only mentioned incidents that happened this year, the past couple weeks actually!! Where’s the sportsmanship? Where’s the professionalism? Where are the humble players that are just so grateful for being able to do something they love? What kind of example are these “men” setting for the kids are watching them? Players say stuff like “we aren’t role models, we are just football players”, but unfortunately even if you are BAD role models, you are looked at by young kids and they want to be you so act like you’ve been there before. “Act like you have some sense” as my dad would say. It’s time to put your big boy pants on and act right.

*Cheers, Love, & WHO DEY! — Coach’s Lil Girl

Not our best showing, Sissy’s Dirty South… not only did I have my first loss on Sunday (to my loving uncle) but I would have lost to anyone that I played that day. It was a terrible showing for everyone on Sissy’s Dirty South. Like I said a few weeks ago, used up my good luck on the first half of the season. The minute the second half of the season begins I’m in trouble! Wes Welker can’t get away from a single defender, Michael Vick decides to break some ribs, LeSean McCoy well I don’t know what he was doing, and then Calvin Johnson I believe was taking nap on the sideline at one point. Matthew Stafford was too busy fighting to throw him or anyone else the ball… GRR! Oh and the Raven’s defense was AWFUL! I mean, you played the Seahawks for goodness sakes! The Bengals played the Steelers and the defense had double the points!!

Okay so maybe you can tell that I care a little bit… but like the Bengals when they are fully capable of wining it’s more frustrating to see them lose. So we lost, the Bengals lost… pretty disappointing weekend. The Bengals were on a great winning streak and with all their big games at the end of the season they really need to put their helmets on straight and focus. The Bengals play the Ravens this coming Sunday, it’s going to be hard win to get but they just need to clean up the mistakes they made against the Steelers and they can definitely do it. The Bengals should have beat the Steelers, they fixed their penalty issues for the most part but now they just need to really fight. The offense needs to get going early in the game, the defense does their job the whole game and wait for the offense to finally get going. The defense needs to be ready, with so many injuries they need to step up and work as team. The Bengals need this win to stay competitive in this tough division. I know they can do it!

As for my fantasy team I think I might need to a make change… I believe I play my aunt this weekend. We will see what I end up doing but I think I need to mix it up. I am kind of glad I have my first loss, it was a lot of pressure! I don’t know how the Green Bay Packers do it! Now I can’t go a losing steak because what’s the point of going 9-0 if you lose the rest of the games after that?! Hopefully everyone has been working hard this weekend, got their pep back in their step… Welker, Johnson, Bengals… I’m talking to you!!

So right now Bengals are in first place and so am I! I am still undefeated, 9-0 and the Bengals are 6-2 with their biggest games coming up. I’m not sure even the people inside the Bengals locker room thought that this would really happen. It’s so exciting!! It is so fun to watch a team know that they can come back and win, they believe and they are fighters. The Bengals past is in the past, and it does not matter to this new Bengal team. They don’t know the struggles of the old team, how it was so difficult for the Bengals to come back when they were down a few scores. This team believes that they can do anything. They are a TEAM, a real TEAM! It’s not about any individual, it’s not about stupid antics, reality shows, or Twitter. These Bengals are easy to like, fun to watch, and they make you smile. You can even see a very small smile on Coach Dad when good things happen and when they get the win. Don’t get me wrong, they still have that “let’s make this interesting” type games. They want to give us all a panic attack but you know that they can do it.

The defense has been amazing, they have been getting a little tired but when we really need it these guys make an amazing play. The offense sometimes takes a little bit to get going but when they open the field by throwing the ball they start rolling and they can’t be stopped. Offense you have to step it up for your defense! My only, okay well #1 , complaint is the penalties. They have got to stop, you can’t have those kind of penalties against Pittsburgh or Baltimore. Bengals you have to play smarter, you need to be sharp. Penalties are going to happen but when the game lasts an extra hour because of penalties, that is not okay! Hopefully they are working on that this week because the Steelers are angry and probably going to more dirty than they usually are. So be ready, Bengals. The Steelers are always out for blood but they had their heart broken TWICE by Baltimore (Hahahahahahaha), so they are really going to be nuts. The only thing better than the Steelers losing at the very last second would have been the Bengals being the ones that beat them. Get ready Bengals, you saw the dog fight that the Ravens went through with that dirty yellow team. You guys have to be ready. AND don’t get caught up in all their nasty smack talk. They are going to say stupid things to make you mad and try to get you guys in trouble but show the Steelers that it’s possible to have class when you play football. Stay Classy Cincinnati…

* Cheers, Love, and WHO DEY!! – Coach’s Lil Girl (hoping for 10-0 this wknd!! I play my uncle, should be a good battle!)

I didn’t mean for this it happen… it just has… I’m still undefeated, 7-0. Last week was a scary one for me with my best players out I was scrambling to replace and pick up different guys. Well as any coach would say, when one guy goes down everyone had to step up and do their job and my guys did. I can’t even tell you who I had in because it was the first time I had played most of them and I dropped anyone I picked up, haha. I had Vick, McCoy, my Bengals kicker, and Wes Welker out. BRUTAL! But I got the win, I think only by like 3 with the Ravens defense Monday night against Jaguars.

Now I have everyone back Vick, Welker, and my Bengals… I’m playing the love of my life this weekend and to tell you the truth if I’m going to lose I only I want to lose to him or Jasmine. My aunt, uncle and little cuz, Tre have been out for blood! They all voted for me to lose last week when I played Tre. And I know I will never hear the end of it if one of them beat me. I kind of just want to lose already because it’s totally ridiculous that I’m 7-0, haha. Everyone was trying to convince me of how fun it was going to be to have a league with each other and now everyone is mad that I’m winning! I’m projected to win this week but so was Tre when we played each other last week… any given Sunday, so stay tuned. It’s all about luck and I’m worried I am using up all my luck on the first half of the season!

After week 5, I am still undefeated! I know… I’m shocked too. I was actually a little nervous this past week; it took me until Monday night to secure my win over my loving Uncle. What I have to be most proud of is my defense… with the Baltimore Ravens on a Bye I picked up another defense… The Cincinnati Bengals… aka the NUMBER ONE DEFENSE IN THE NFL!! AMAZING!! Actually our division is 1, 2, and 3… with the Bengals, the Steelers, and then Baltimore. Pretty cool, right? Well I don’t really care about the Steelers, but it says a lot about our division. So I decided to pick up the Bengal’s defense (dropped Mark Ingram so that I could keep the Ravens too) and at first I wasn’t sure it was a great decision but not only did the Bengals get a VICTORY but they got a turnover and defensive touchdown the very last play of the game, to help my fantasy team! Great times!

Cory and I actually went to Jacksonville for the game; it was a little nerve racking. I like to be able to stand and pace and I can’t do that in other teams stadium, in our amazing seats right behind the Bengals bench, and with people I don’t know looking at me like I should be in a mental hospital talking to myself and shaking my head at no one. I have to admit at the 2 minute warning I went into the lounge and watched the end of the game by myself. I had to stand and be alone with my crazy thoughts… as soon as I knew it was safe I went back to our seats to join the celebration. The funny thing was I had to fight my way through the disappointed Jaguars fans leaving their seats! They were probably thinking what is this girl doing, doesn’t she know the game is over and it’s time to play “beat the traffic”? Haha. The Bengals last minute victory was definitely scarier and more important than my last minute fantasy win but they both put smiles on my face!

I am very happy with my fantasy performance. And even if the rest of the season goes down the tube I have beat everyone once and I scored over 200 points in week 4, which is pretty cool. But with all that said my real team, the Bengals need to be hungrier… they need to want more and they need to play like we all know they can. We have seen glimpses of an amazing offense that can throw the ball and run all over defenses. We need more of that. Offensive line PROTECT ANDY! Give him time!! He is an amazing talent, but you have to give him a chance. The offensive line is my biggest compliant… which I’d like to know when it hasn’t been?! Something’s got to change with that. We have to score in the red zone… you guys can’t leave the defense out there all day! Eventually teams will score on us because the defense is exhausted and then we will have to play catch up! They have to be the number one defense in the NFL, otherwise the score would be 45-3 every week aka 0-5! We need a win this weekend, boys. The Colts have zero wins… no one knows that better than the Bengals. The Colts have been close to winning so it’s not going to be an easy victory. Bengals, you have to want it! You have to get to that point where everyone can see you want it. And you’re close… I’ve seen Andy get mad, and I’ve seen the defense get pumped up… give us more!! Get fired up!

Bengal fans… GET YOUR BUTT IN A SEAT! This is unacceptable! We got rid of the drama and FINALLY have guys that want to be there, you should be there to see it! Everyone said we wouldn’t win a single game! We’ve almost won as many games as we won ALL season last year and it’s just going to be week 6! Get to the games… stop pouting and acting like Carson. GET TO THE GAMES! Tailgate, cheer for your team, and have fun with your other Bengal friends. We don’t want more fans from the other team than Bengal fans in our stadium! You guys aren’t loud enough when we are sold out much less when none of you are there and the other team has taken over (sorry but it’s true). This especially can’t happen when we get into divisional games! A bunch of Brown and Steelers fans in our stadium! Cheering louder for the away team than the home team? I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Support your team like REAL fans do… yes I’m calling you all out because this is ludicrous. Do you think Steelers fans do this? How about Packers? Cowboys? Even the Bills always have fans in their stadium!! And you know what all their loyal support got them… a 4-1 start (the 1 thanks to the BENGALS!!!! WOO!). You get what you give Bengal fans… and I honestly don’t think you deserve what the Bengals are giving right now. These Bengals are for real… so be real fans, Cincinnati.

Shout out to the amazing Bengal fans in Jacksonville, I was so excited to see how many Bengal fans were there. On our flight home there was a ton of people on our plane wearing their Bengals gear proudly. I may be forgetting some guys but AJ Green and Ray Maualuga went around the Jags stadium high fiving and waving to their Bengal fans, it was awesome to see and just goes to show how much they appreciate support from their fans. So get to PBS Bengal fans… they deserve your support. You can actually see that they care!

Goodbye Hollywood Drama, Hello Humble Hard Working Players! That is something I can definitely say “CHEERS!” to.

So after 3 weeks of fantasy football… the first week I actually forgot we were playing until my aunt texted me “you’re crushing me!”… I AM UNDEFEATED! Taking down my wonderful Aunt Chrissy, the little monster Tre, and the love of my life Cory hahaha. Cory even commented “you didn’t even want to play and you are winning our league!” My team name is Sissy’s Dirty South where “W’s is all we know how to do” and I am kicking butt and taking names. I will be taking on my little sis, Jasmine, this weekend… who had an impressive win against my other half in week one. But I’ve barely had to change my roster, I just change it for kicks, and I tearing up the competition. As much as I hate to admit this a Patriot is clearly a big part of my undefeated status, Wes Welker is pretty much a beast. And even with all the talent (besides Stink-O) that Brady could throw to, Welker has already 102 points in fantasy! He’s the only Patriot that I could sleep at night taking and I am so glad I did. I also have the Raven’s defense (duh!), Michael Vick, and LeSean McCoy to name a few stand outs on Sissy’s Dirty South. And with Matt Ryan as my back-up quarterback I’m pretty happy with my first ever draft. Who would have thought?! BUT even with all my beginning success I’m still not obsessed. I forget to do my draft until Saturday night, I don’t keep my match-up page up on my computer from the time the sun comes up on Sunday until Monday night, and even when I want to look at my fantasy app on my phone it barely works so I usually can’t look at that either. Hey YAHOO Fantasy App, let’s get it together!!! It’s always freezing and “experiencing errors” even right now as I tried to look at my roster it won’t work!

#1 player on my roster and not so bad to look at... Wes Welker (I could not bare to put a pic of him in a Patriots uni on my blog)

I think the real test will be going up against my uncle (no offense Jasmine), he’s been doing this soooo long. I feel like fantasy is mostly luck in the end (it’s still loading) but Cory plays in my uncle’s other league as well (and another one, yup, 3 leagues) and they all really seem to know what they are doing. I really thought Cory was going to give me a run for my money but even with Mike Vick out I pretty much owed him from the first kick-off. Haha. I mean I was worried the whole time.. (still LOADING!)

So 3-0… Bills, Lions, Packers, and Sissy’s Dirty South.. very interesting

I just exited out of Yahoo Fantasy.. it was still loading.

*Cheers, Love, & Who Dey!! – Coach’s Lil Girl a.k.a. GM of the undefeated Sissy’s Dirty South

Ready or not… here it comes! Fantasy football… and football in general, one day we are flipping through channels looking for something to watch on TV because we can’t handle another second of “they are going to come to an agreement some time on Thursday…” the next day we are watching pre-season football, and it ain’t pretty. It’s all too soon, too fast, I feel like I should have braced myself because WHAM! It’s here, pack your bags, say goodbye, and head to camp boys, the fun is over.

I know this might surprise you and I’m not really afraid to admit it but I don’t even know what’s going on the NFL! I don’t even know what’s going on with the Bengals (how can you ever though, huh?). I have definitely had a “we are on a break/ it’s complicated” situation going on with channel 206 (ESPN for all you non-directv-ers), Bengals.com, NFL Network, ProFootball Talk and the list goes on and on. We’ve been seeing other people and I have to tell you, I don’t really miss any of them. I’m no relationship counselor but I think that means I can live without them all! I do have those moments though, late at night when there is nothing else on and I know it’s going to be there, waiting for me, time and time again… good ol’ SportsCenter and we rekindle our love. It’s sick really because I have spent the last couple of months watching pretty much anything but ESPN but the as soon as there’s nothing else on, I soak it all up. I guess it’s just a flame that will never die. We are meant to be together so I should probably stop fighting it.

Ready or not!

But then there is fantasy football, I’ve never played before and I definitely know there is reason… I have zero interest in it. Many of you know one of my favorite terms, FFF – Family Forced Fun… this is what Fantasy Football (hey more F’s!) is for me because my Family is Forcing me to play Fantasy Football for supposed Fun! So Fantasy Football Family Forced Fun… F.F.F.F.F… As you can tell I am completely throwing a tantrum over this situation. I signed up approximately a month and a half after I was told about our F.F.F.F.F. aka today. And I am refusing to do any research what so over so that at least when I lose I can say “well I didn’t even try so what do you expect?!”. I am really being mature on this, I know. But if you know anything about my family you know that everyone is out for blood when we do anything! Croquet, bochie ball, cornhole, CLUE, Bananagrams… they want your head! And they talk trash from the moment you start setting up the game! I’m pretty much the only person in my family that is not competitive; even the ones that married-in are competitive! It’s like a requirement to survive in this family. So prepare for my fantasy updates… we are doing our draft Labor Day weekend. Stayed tuned for all the fun!!

* Cheers, Love, & Who Dey — Coach’s Lil Girl
